I just visited Bernd, DF3CB excellent website today for the first time in years and was pleasantly surprised to find that he has authored a remote FT2000 application called FT2000RC – YAESU FT-2000 CAT & Remote Control Software. On a whim I tried installing it on my Linux PC under WINE and it installed and ran perfectly. Look out for the FT5000 version which i believe will be released shortly.

Check out Bernd’s website for further info: http://www.df3cb.com/ft2000rc/

    Dave,
I have recently installed FT2000RC (v2.5) and my com port is not being recognized. Was wondering how you got yours to work? I have a dosdevices link but it can’t see it.

    Thanks

HI I spoke too soon. I managed to define my COM Port to ttyUSB1 and select COM1 in FT2000RC and it worked momentarily, but it doesn’t anymore. Ah well back to the drawing board.
