MAudio Delta 44 Card Problems with Linux Solved

After much ‘faffing’ about I have now solved my problem with the Delta 44 sound card running under Linux. It turns out all I needed to do was install the alsa-tools software package. Once installed you will get an Envy24 Control utility.  Run this and adjust the mixer to enable audio form the in/out jacks and adjust your levels as they are all set to zero by default and bingo my Delta 44 sound card is now works under Fldigi. May try the fldigi + CQRLog combo out in the RSBG 80M CC contest tomorrow.

    Hi Dave,
Does using alsa-tools/Envy24 Control Utility give you all four inputs working simultaneously?
I have an ESI Maya44 PCI card at present which is 4in/4out but only gives me two working input channels under Ubuntu Studio. I may have to swap it for another card & the M-Audio Delta44 might be the one if it provides 4 fully functioning inputs under Linux.
    Many thanks.
